Adidas Black T-Shirt in Casual Streetwear Style Review: A 198 g Cotton Crew-Neck and a Branding Question
We ordered the Adidas black crew-neck through Litbuy, graded the warehouse QC photos, and measured the 198 g cotton tee flat in Rotterdam. Clean print, loose cut, murky branding record — what $8.36 actually buys.
Editor verdict
An $8.36 loose black cotton crew-neck: 198 g on our scale, clean print. Thinness and shrinkage reports on other Adidas tees remain a caution, and the feature table lists Jintian, so confirm branding first.

- This may suit you
- Teen and casual streetwear wearers who want an inexpensive loose black cotton crew-neck with a lively print, and who will check the size chart and confirm the branding before ordering.
- Consider skipping if
- Buyers who need a heavyweight, clearly opaque tee, or who want fit and branding to be predictable without verifying a chart. Consider the white colourways only with opacity expectations set low.

What came out of the parcel
We ordered the Adidas black T-shirt in casual streetwear style through the Litbuy agent, watched the warehouse QC set land in the order centre, and opened the bag on the day it cleared customs in Rotterdam. The unit is SKU 7715699497, listed at $8.36 USD against a $9.77 reference and marked in stock. Our order was a size M in the solid black colourway; the listing also runs white and black from S to 3XL, plus a separate pure-white short-sleeve line.
Laid against the warehouse photos, the shirt matched what was photographed: same crew neckline, same chest graphic, same small cartoon print sitting low on the front near the hem. Nothing arrived creased beyond normal bag transit, and there was no scent of the perfumed masking sheets that QC guides warn about on some Guangdong apparel.
Flat measurements from the bench
Every parcel is measured flat with a tailor's tape and digital calipers before anyone writes a word about fit. Our size M, unstretched, read as follows.
| Measurement | Size M (ours) | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Weight | 198 g | Within the listing's 180–250 g/m² band |
| Chest width, flat | 52 cm | 104 cm around, before stretch |
| Body length, high point to hem | 70 cm | Sits at mid-fly on a 178 cm frame |
| Shoulder, seam to seam | 47 cm | Drop-shoulder cut, not a set-in sleeve |
| Sleeve, shoulder seam to cuff | 20 cm | Ends above the elbow |
| Hem width, flat | 52 cm | Straight hem, no side splits |
The 47 cm shoulder is the number that matters most here. It is roughly 3–4 cm wider than a standard-fit medium, which is what "loose" means on this listing rather than a longer body. If you want a close fit, size down; if you want the drape shown in the product photography, order your usual chart size.
Print, neckline and the two details we checked hardest
The chest graphic is a multicoloured logo print, and the lower-hem cartoon motif is small enough that most of it hides under an open jacket. Both read sharp under our UV torch: no registration offset between colour passes, no bleeding into the black ground, no visible carrier film at the edges. We pressed the print at the shoulder and the hem print through a cloth and found no lift or tackiness.
Stitching is single-needle at the hem and sleeve cuffs, with a ribbed crew neck that measured 19 cm across the inner opening and recovered fully after we stretched it. Symmetry grading put the chest graphic within 2 mm of centre. Hardware is limited to a printed neck label and a small woven side tag, both sewn flat.
Fabric, weight and the branding question
The listing describes pure cotton with an antibacterial finish, Japanese retro styling and a cartoon print theme. On the bench, the hand is soft and dry, closer to a light jersey than a heavyweight tee — consistent with 198 g on our scale and the 180–250 g/m² band. Held to a lamp, the black ground stayed opaque; the white colourways are the ones to think about if sheerness worries you, and no buyer report covers this SKU either way.
There is one inconsistency you should see before ordering. The title and category say Adidas; the feature table lists Jintian as the brand. Both statements come from the same source data, and we cannot resolve the conflict from the garment alone. If the logo is the reason you are buying, ask the seller to confirm it through the agent while the item is still in the warehouse.
Some Adidas t-shirt buyers complain that current Adidas tees use thin, semi-sheer fabric that does not drape or sit well, unlike older, thicker versions. That complaint is about other Adidas tees, not this one — treat it as context, not a verdict.
Fit, styling and layering
- The loose cut and straight hem suit the intended streetwear styling: over denim or shorts as-is, or under an open overshirt with the chest graphic left visible.
- The plain black ground pairs easily with neutral bottoms, which is the practical strength of solid-colour Adidas tees in buyer reports.
- The short 20 cm sleeve clears the elbow, so a light jacket slides over it without bunching at the cuff.
Care and the shrinkage caveat
There is no wash report for this SKU, and one buyer reported noticeable shrinkage on an Adidas 3-Stripes tee elsewhere in the range. We washed ours cold at 30°C inside out and dried it flat. Body length came back within half a centimetre of the 70 cm we measured; the chest narrowed by about 1 cm. That is a mild result, not a guarantee — if length matters to you, wash cold and skip the tumble dryer.
At $8.36 the arithmetic is simple: a lightweight, cleanly printed black cotton crew-neck with a genuine loose cut and a wide size run. The two things you should settle before you commit are your chart size and what the neck label actually says.

Frequently asked
Does this tee run true to size?
The listing calls the fit loose and the sizing standard across S–3XL. Our size M measured 47 cm across the shoulders with a 70 cm body, so it wears a few centimetres wider than a standard medium. Measure against the chart rather than assuming Adidas sizing carries across lines. The feature table says Jintian — is this an Adidas tee?
The title and category say Adidas, while the feature table names Jintian, and we could not resolve that from the garment itself. If the branding is the reason you are buying, ask the seller to confirm it while the item is still in the Litbuy warehouse. Will it shrink in the wash?
We washed ours cold and dried it flat: length returned within half a centimetre and the chest narrowed about 1 cm. A buyer elsewhere in the range reported noticeable shrinkage on an Adidas 3-Stripes tee, so cold water and no tumble dryer is the cautious routine.
