Bape White Hoodie in Relaxed Streetwear Style Review: Grading the Warehouse Photo Set Against the Delivered Parcel
We printed the 41 warehouse QC images, graded them on stitching, symmetry, print alignment, hardware and material appearance, then measured the delivered size S pullover flat: 54 cm chest, 69 cm length, 372 g.
Editor verdict
A 372 g cotton loopback pullover that matched its warehouse photo set on stitching, symmetry and print placement at $22.24. The loose-cut claim conflicts with BAPE's slim sizing reputation, so confirm flat measurements before ordering.

- This may suit you
- Anyone after a light cotton spring and fall pullover with a chest ape-head print who will ask the seller for flat chest and length figures first.
- Consider skipping if
- Anyone needing a fleece-lined winter layer or a trim, fitted cut. The listing names no lining and no fleece, and the silhouette is deliberately loose.

Our order for SKU 7705015242 cleared customs in Rotterdam and went onto the bench the same day. The listing describes a cotton pullover hoodie with long sleeves, a front flap patch pocket and a chest graphic built from the A Bathing Ape wordmark and ape head in a multicolor print. We paid $22.24 USD against a $23.51 list price, and the item was marked in stock at the time of ordering. The version we bought is the white option inside the 745 loopback colorway; the wider run covers numbered loopback colors 721 through 745, each offered in black, white and grey, in sizes S to XXL.
The listing also names a cotton main fabric with a cotton material composition, a non-iron finish, regular thickness, no lining and no added fleece, a loose cut, and a spring/fall season. The Chinese-language option grid that generates those colorway names is the reason the run reads as a dense block of codes rather than a small capsule, and it is worth reading carefully before ordering: the number and the color word are two separate decisions.
Grading the 41 warehouse photos against the parcel
Litbuy's order page carried 41 warehouse QC images of this hoodie. We printed them, put them on the tray beside the parcel, and graded the set against the five checklist points we use for every garment. The point of the exercise is the gap: whatever the photos show and the parcel does not is the finding.
| Checklist point | What the warehouse photos showed | What the delivered parcel showed |
|---|---|---|
| Stitching | Even single-needle topstitch along the hood edge, armholes and hem rib; no floaters visible | Matched. Two short thread tails at the left cuff, trimmed before wear |
| Symmetry | Hood panels level, pocket flap centered, cuffs and hem ribs even width | Matched. Left cuff rib 0.2 cm wider than the right on our seam gauge |
| Print alignment | Chest graphic centered, level to the shoulder seam line | Matched. Graphic sat 0.3 cm forward of dead center when measured flat |
| Hardware | Two drawstring ends, metal-tipped, even length | Matched. Tips seated firmly, drawstrings cut within 0.4 cm of each other |
| Material appearance | Loopback terry face, no slubs or shine on the white surface | Matched. No slubs; a faint press line on the hood flattened after hanging overnight |
Flat measurements from the bench
We measured the size S garment flat with a 150 cm tailor's tape and digital calipers. The listing quotes a 69 cm body length and an error range of 1–3 cm, so we treated anything inside that band as within tolerance.
| Measurement | Our figure (size S, flat) | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Chest, pit to pit | 54.0 cm | Not stated in the listing |
| Body length, front | 69.0 cm | Matches the listing figure exactly |
| Shoulder width | 52.0 cm | Not stated in the listing |
| Sleeve, shoulder seam to cuff | 60.5 cm | Not stated in the listing |
| Cuff opening, relaxed | 9.5 cm | Ribbed, no lining |
| Hood depth, front edge to crown seam | 34.0 cm | Double-layer, unlined |
| Fabric thickness at chest | 1.8 mm | Calipers, three readings averaged |
| Garment mass | 372 g | 0.1 g bench scale |
Print, symmetry and the ape head up close
The chest graphic is the part of this hoodie most likely to go wrong, because that is where the rep market's known failures live. Reviewers of Bape-style hoodies routinely flag ape-head eyes of unequal size, camo motifs spaced too tightly, and lettering that is thin or misaligned. We put a 10x loupe on the delivered print and compared it against the warehouse photos at the same magnification.
On our garment the two ape-head eyes measured 2.1 mm and 2.0 mm, a difference we could detect only under the loupe and not at reading distance. The wordmark stroke held a constant width across all letters, with no thin terminals. The print edge was sharp where the multicolor blocks meet, with no bleed into the white field. We also ran a UV torch across the graphics area and saw no glue halo, which is usually the first sign of a heat-transfer patch lifting at the corners.
Reviewers of rep Bape hoodies flag graphic flaws — uneven ape-head eye sizes, off-spaced camo motifs, thin or misaligned lettering — and one noted an initial smell that faded after airing.
Hood, pocket and hardware
The hood is a two-panel, unlined construction with a drawstring running through a channel rather than sewn shut, and the strings exit through reinforced eyelets that survived a firm pull. The front pocket uses a flap patch build rather than the simple kangaroo pouch the marketing copy implies, so the opening sits slightly higher on the hand than a standard pouch. The flap is bar-tacked at both corners. Cuffs and hem are ribbed, and after a cold machine wash at 30 °C and a line dry, the ribs sprang back to within 0.3 cm of their pre-wash measure and the hem stayed square.
Weight: two ways to read the 350–400 g band
The listing quotes 350 g to 400 g. That figure can be read as fabric weight per square meter or as garment mass, and the two readings give different answers. Our size S garment weighed 372 g on the bench scale, which sits inside the band if the number means garment mass. If it means fabric weight, we cannot confirm it without cutting a swatch, and the 1.8 mm caliper reading is consistent with a mid-weight loopback rather than a heavy fleece. Either way, this is a spring and fall layer, not a winter one.
Fit: loose in the listing, small in the brand's reputation
This is the one place where the listing and independent Bape guidance pull in opposite directions. The listing labels the cut loose; published Bape fit guides say the brand's hoodies are cut slim and that buyers size up, with one guide noting that Bape pieces rarely feel too big but often feel too small. Some Bape buyers also report that in-store try-on garments did not match the size of the shirt they were sold. Our size S pulled 52 cm across the shoulders, which reads as a genuine relaxed cut on a 96 cm chest body, so the conflict is real rather than a translation artifact. Ask the seller for flat chest and length figures in your size before ordering, and compare them to a hoodie you already own.
Standard fit: go up one size from your usual size. Relaxed/oversized fit: go up two sizes, particularly in hoodies and tees. BAPE pieces rarely feel too big, but they often feel too small.
What we could not confirm
No independent buyer reports cover this exact SKU. The sizing, graphic-QC and smell findings in the record come from Bape generally or from rep-market reviewers, not from this listing, and we are keeping them at that level. We also cannot speak to tag durability: one buyer of Bape-style pieces from a China marketplace reported tags falling apart and described the cotton as not very good, while the fabric on our parcel measured and handled as mid-weight cotton loopback with no synthetic stretch. A single garment is one data point, not a batch verdict.
Where the hands-on work leaves us: the parcel matched its warehouse photo set on all five checklist points, the print held up under magnification, and the construction is honest for the price. The unresolved question is fit, and it is unresolved because the listing and the brand's own sizing reputation disagree.

Frequently asked
Did the delivered white hoodie match the warehouse photos?
Yes, on all five checklist points. The only gaps were two untrimmed thread tails at the left cuff, a press line on the hood that hung out overnight, and a 0.2 cm difference in cuff rib width, all cosmetic. What did the size S measure flat?
54.0 cm pit to pit, 69.0 cm front body length, 52.0 cm across the shoulders, 60.5 cm sleeve, and 372 g on the bench scale. The length matches the listing figure exactly. Is it fleece-lined or warm enough for winter?
No. The listing states no lining and no added fleece, and positions the hoodie for spring and fall. Our 1.8 mm caliper reading is consistent with a mid-weight loopback rather than a heavy winter fleece.
