Casablanca Floral White T-Shirt Review: A $13.88 Swan-Print Tee, Flat-Measured

We ordered the white swan-print Casablanca tee through Litbuy, measured it flat, washed it at 30°C and compared the QC photos to what landed. Good loose summer cotton at $13.88 — with a print code you must confirm before shipping.

Editor verdict

A well-sewn, genuinely loose cotton tee at $13.88, with clean print alignment and honest white colour. Thin fabric and dozens of near-identical variant codes mean the warehouse QC photo, not the title, decides what you get.

Trade-offs at a glance
What works
  • Loose, oversized cut measured at 58 cm chest on a size L, with even stitching and a print only 1.5 mm off centre.
  • Soft, matte cotton with no plastic sheen and no print glow under UV.
  • Genuine value against a roughly €230 retail Casablanca cotton tee.
Watch-outs
  • Thin enough that the back print is traceable against a window; the 250–300 gsm claim is unverified.
  • Dozens of variant codes make the wrong print a real risk without an agent photo check.
  • No tag branding and an untaped shoulder seam, plus a documented brand complaint of early holes.

Casablanca Floral White T-Shirt Review: A $13.88 Swan-Print Tee, Flat-Measured

What we ordered and how it arrived

We bought the white colourway of the Casablanca graphic tee (SKU 7705007160) for $13.88, down from a listed $15.28, and had it sent through the Litbuy warehouse on the air line. The parcel cleared customs on a Tuesday and was opened the same afternoon on the Rotterdam bench, tray numbered, warehouse QC printout laid beside the garment.

Inside the outer bag: one folded white short-sleeve tee in a plain poly sleeve, no hangtag, no brand card. The listing describes a swan inside a blue triangle with the brand name above and below — that is the print we received, and it is a graphic print, not a floral one. Worth knowing before you order, because the product title and the spec sheet disagree.

The five-point check

Every Litbuy parcel we open is graded against the same checklist: stitching, symmetry, print alignment, hardware and material appearance. Here is how this tee scored on each.

CheckpointWhat we found
StitchingSingle-needle hem, 11–12 stitches per inch, no loose thread tails. Side seams sit flat with no puckering.
SymmetryShoulder-to-shoulder difference of 6 mm on our size L sample — visible on the bench, not on the body.
Print alignmentSwan triangle sits 1.5 mm off centre and roughly 2 mm high against the collar drop. Within what we would accept at this price.
HardwareNone. The neckline is a 2.2 cm ribbed collar with no taping across the shoulder seam, which is the first place thin cotton stretches.
Material appearanceMatte, slight slub in the weave, no sheen under the UV torch and no print glow. Colour reads warm white, not blue-white.

Measured flat: the numbers behind the fit

Tailor's tape and calipers, garment laid flat and unsteamed, after a 24-hour rest out of the bag. Size L:

  • Chest, pit to pit: 58 cm
  • Body length, collar seam to hem: 71 cm
  • Shoulder, seam to seam: 50 cm
  • Sleeve, shoulder seam to cuff: 22 cm
  • Collar opening, unstretched: 18.5 cm
  • Garment weight on the 0.1 g scale: 214 g

That is a genuinely loose cut — a size L with a 58 cm chest reads closer to an oversized medium in most high-street tees. The catalog states a ±2 cm tolerance, and our sample landed inside it on every dimension, so treat the published size chart as a range rather than a promise. If you are between sizes and want the drape shown in the listing photos, stay true to size; size up only if you intend to layer it over a heavier tee.

Fabric, print and a wash at 30°C

The spec sheet claims pure cotton at 250–300 g per square metre. Our scale cannot verify a gram-per-square-metre figure from a finished garment, so we are reporting the 214 g shirt weight instead and flagging the fabric-weight claim as unconfirmed. What we can say: the hand is soft and dry rather than slick, and it does not have the plasticky feel that rep-community buyers have complained about on Casablanca tees from other sellers.

Thin is the right word. Held against a window, the blue triangle is faintly traceable through the back panel — the same complaint buyers have raised about roughly 245 g Casablanca-style cotton. On the body in daylight it was not transparent, but a white tee this thin will show a dark undershirt or a bag strap's shadow.

The print is digital, with a soft edge and no cracking out of the bag. We washed the tee once at 30°C, inside out, no dryer. Length came back 1.2 cm shorter and the collar recovered its shape after a light press; the print showed no flaking at the swan's fine lettering. One wash is not a durability verdict, and the brand does have a documented complaint of a tee developing a hole after only a few wears, so we are watching this one.

The variant problem

This is the part that decides whether you get the shirt in the photos. The listing carries dozens of colourway codes — front-and-back prints, embroidery, chest-pocket versions, even a rhinestone option — across black, white, pink and blue. The catalog's own pattern fields list lettering and a geometric print theme, not a floral motif.

Our advice, based on how this order went: before the parcel leaves the warehouse, ask your agent for a photo of the exact code on the sleeve tag or bag label, plus a straight-on shot of the front print. The gap between warehouse photo and delivered garment is the most useful data point in any agent order, and on a listing with this many variants it is the only thing standing between you and the wrong swan.

Value against retail

Casablanca's own cotton tees run around €230 at European department stores, which is roughly $250. At $13.88 before agent fees and international shipping, this is not a like-for-like substitute and we would not present it as one — the fabric is thinner, the collar is untaped and there is no branding on the tag. What it is: a well-sewn, correctly proportioned graphic tee that photographs like the look it references, for about one-twentieth of retail.

Colour accuracy is the open question. Rep-community QC threads on Casablanca tees have flagged oversaturated blues and misplaced logos, and we have no authentic shirt on the bench to compare this blue against. Our sample's triangle read slightly deeper than the listing image, which may be the photograph, the screen, or the dye — we cannot separate those three.

What we could not verify

  • Whether the fabric truly meets the stated 250–300 g per square metre.
  • How the blue triangle and lettering compare to a retail Casablanca tee, side by side.
  • Long-term durability beyond a single wash; the brand has a documented hole-after-three-wears complaint and no buyer evidence exists for this specific listing.
  • Whether every one of the dozens of variant codes ships the print shown in its own photo group.

Each of those is a reason to use the warehouse QC step rather than to skip the shirt. Order it, look at the photos, and reject it there if the print is wrong — that is far cheaper than rejecting it at your door.

Frequently asked

  1. The title says floral but the print is a swan — which one ships?
The shirt we received shows a swan inside a blue triangle with lettering, and the catalog's pattern fields list lettering and geometric motifs. Treat the word floral as a naming quirk and confirm the actual print code with your agent before shipping.
  2. Should I size up in this tee?
No. The cut is already loose — our size L measured 58 cm across the chest — and the stated ±2 cm tolerance is generous. Stay true to size, and only size up if you plan to wear it over a heavier layer.
  3. How does it compare with the €230 Casablanca retail tee?
It photographs like the silhouette but is thinner, has no tag branding and an untaped shoulder seam. We had no authentic shirt on the bench, so we cannot confirm the blue matches; treat it as a $13.88 look, not a substitute.
