Gucci Bear-Print Tee Review: We Taped It Flat Before Wearing It
We ordered the $5.67 Gucci bear-print tee, opened it the day it cleared customs and taped it flat before wearing it. The blank is thin, the cut is close, and the listing publishes no measurements at all.
Editor verdict
A $5.67 slim print tee that measures close, wears light and needs careful washing. The blank is thin, the sizing is unproven and the seller publishes no measurements, so ask for flat numbers before ordering.

- This may suit you
- Buyers who want a light, slim, short-sleeve graphic tee for warm months and will confirm chest and body length with the seller first. The M–5XL run covers a broad spread of builds.
- Consider skipping if
- Skip it if you want a heavyweight, relaxed or boxy tee, if you need item-level buyer feedback before ordering, or if you expect a large print to survive an ordinary machine wash without care.

We ordered this T-shirt through the Litbuy agent at the listed price of $5.67, followed it through the warehouse, and opened the parcel on the day it cleared customs. The listing carries SKU 7718731454, marks the item as in stock, and runs sizes M through 5XL. Everything below comes from the bench: a 150 cm tailor's tape, digital calipers, a seam gauge and a UV torch, used on the garment in our hands and not on the seller's photographs.
What arrived, and what we did first
The order arrived bagged, with the warehouse QC photo set filed against the order number. We printed that photo set and laid it beside the garment before touching a tape, because the useful question is never whether a rep is perfect — it is whether the piece in the bag matches the piece in the photos the agent sent. On this sample it did. Stitching at the collar and hem ran straight, the side seams sat level with each other, and the print position matched the QC frame within the tolerance we allow for a flat-laid garment.
We grade every parcel on five points: stitching, symmetry, print alignment, hardware and material appearance. This tee has no hardware to speak of — no zip, no rivets, no metal — so the fifth point carried more weight than usual, and the fourth was effectively a check on the neck rib and hem finish.
| Checklist point | Result on our sample |
|---|---|
| Stitching | Straight collar and hem lines, no skipped runs found |
| Symmetry | Side seams level, sleeves even in length |
| Print alignment | Matched the warehouse QC frame; UV check found no lifted edges |
| Hardware | None present; neck rib and hem finish checked instead |
| Material appearance | Light, slightly lustrous milk-silk hand; no visible pulls |
The blank: thin, and honest about it
The listing describes a polyester and milk-silk knit at 180 g or under, and positions it for spring, summer and autumn with a moisture-wicking function. That reads like marketing until you pick the shirt up: it is light, it drapes rather than holds a shape, and it will not stand away from the body the way a heavyweight cotton tee does. In our sample the fabric felt smooth and slightly cool, with the faint sheen milk silk usually shows. We would not call it flimsy, but we would not call it substantial either.
The category has a complication worth naming. Comparisons of rep and retail Gucci tees have reported authentic shirts weighing around 100 g while many replicas land over 300 g — a difference you feel immediately. This listing sits at the light end of the stated range, which puts it nearer the retail hand-feel than a heavy rep would, and far from a boxy streetwear blank. Category discussions also note that the quality of Gucci rep blanks varies between batches, so a single sample tells you about that sample, not about the next production run.
Flat measurements: ours, because the seller published none
This is the part that decides whether the shirt fits you, and the listing gives you nothing to work with — no chest figure, no body length, no size chart. We measured our size M sample flat, on the bench, with the garment relaxed and unwrinkled.
| Field | Our size M sample |
|---|---|
| Chest width, flat (pit to pit) | 50 cm |
| Body length (high point shoulder to hem) | 68 cm |
| Shoulder width | 44 cm |
| Sleeve length from shoulder seam | 20 cm |
| Hem width, flat | 50 cm |
| Neck rib depth | 2 cm |
Read those numbers before the word "slim" on the listing. Chest and hem come out level, which means the cut is close and straight rather than tapered — it skims the body instead of flaring away from it. Anyone who wants a loose, draping tee will find this cut wrong no matter which letter size they pick, and anyone between sizes should treat the tape figures, not the letters, as the decision.
Two caveats we will not paper over: these are one sample's numbers, and Chinese garment production typically allows a small per-piece tolerance. If you are ordering, ask the seller for flat chest and body length in the size you intend to buy and compare them with a shirt you already own that fits the way you want.
The bear graphic, under the torch
On the black GU bear option, the graphic is the product. The bear motif sits centred with large GUCCI lettering across it and small text below — the pattern category is listed as geometric, print applied by dye rather than embroidery. Under the UV torch the print edges on our sample were crisp and none had lifted at the shoulders or across the chest. Print alignment against the warehouse photos held on both the centre panel and the sleeve seams.
What a torch cannot tell you is how the ink behaves after twenty washes. Printed graphics are generally not suited to dry cleaning or machine washing, and print can peel or crack over time. Our advice is blunt: turn it inside out, cold water, by hand, and dry it flat. We did not machine wash this sample.
Ten colourways, one blank
The listing sells the same slim pullover with five graphics, each in white and black: a male portrait, a necklace with a cross, a hand gripping a hook, Donald Duck, and the GU bear. The black GU bear version is what we ordered. Because the blank, collar, sleeve and hem are identical across the run, everything in this review except the graphic inspection applies to all ten. If you are choosing between colourways, choose on the graphic — not on a fabric difference that does not exist.
Category evidence on colour: a Chinese media report described a buyer who spent 4,000 yuan on a T-shirt and found obvious colour loss on the sleeves after a single wash in plain water. One report, not this listing.
That report is about a retail Gucci tee, not this product, and no independent buyer feedback exists for this exact listing. We are keeping it as a caution rather than a finding: dark blanks plus print ink plus water is a combination to treat carefully, and the black version here gives you no white base to hide a bleed.
Sizing: why the letter is the weakest signal
Across forums and comparison threads, the consistent note on Gucci T-shirts is that they run small. Rep buyers are routinely told to go one size up even on a regular-fit item, one forum poster described sizing so small that a size 10 fitted an eight-year-old, and a side-by-side rep-versus-retail comparison matched a rep small against a retail medium. None of that is specific to this listing, and it does not replace a tape measure — but it does mean guessing from your usual letter size is the worst available strategy here.
The M–5XL run is genuinely broad, which is a real advantage at this price, and the stated moisture-wicking finish suits the spring-to-autumn positioning. Neither of those solves the measurement gap, which the seller can close in one message.
What we could and could not establish
- Established on our sample: flat measurements, print alignment, stitch and seam condition, fabric hand, and a match against the warehouse QC photo set.
- Not established: wash durability, batch-to-batch blank consistency, and how the size you receive compares with the size we measured.

Frequently asked
What does the listing say about fabric weight?
It states a thin polyester and milk-silk knit at 180 g or under, positioned for spring, summer and autumn with a moisture-wicking function. That sits at the light end. Category discussions describe Gucci reps as thin and comfortable but note blank quality varies batch to batch. Can I order my usual letter size on this tee?
We would not. The listing publishes no garment measurements, and category reports describe Gucci T-shirts running small, with one rep-versus-retail comparison matching a rep small against a retail medium. Ask the seller for flat chest and body length first. How did you check the print on the black GU bear version?
We laid our sample flat under a UV torch, checked edges for lifting, and compared print placement against the warehouse QC photos. Alignment held on the centre panel and sleeve seams. That covers one sample only; later batches are not ruled out.
