Lee Black T-Shirt in Casual Streetwear Style Review: Two Cotton Weights, Measured
We ordered the Lee black graphic tee and graded it on the Rotterdam bench: stitch lines, print registration, caliper checks and flat measurements. A 4.2 / 5 cotton crew-neck where the fabric weight is your real decision, and opacity still needs agent confirmation.
Editor verdict
A cheap, well-printed cotton crew-neck sold in two weights and nine sizes. Our sample's stitching and print registration passed; fabric opacity and sizing still need agent confirmation before you commit.

- This may suit you
- Summer daily wear on a tight budget, for a shopper who wants a black cotton graphic crew-neck and will have an agent confirm gram weight, print placement and flat measurements before paying.
- Consider skipping if
- You need proven fabric opacity first, or you expect quick brand-side support after purchase. Also skip it if you want a published size chart rather than numbers obtained through your agent.

What we ordered and what arrived
Our testing team placed this order through the Litbuy agent and opened the parcel on the day it cleared customs. The item is the black Lee crew-neck graphic T-shirt, SKU 7718774990, listed at $4.18 against a $4.89 original price and marked in stock. It arrived as a single pullover top with a cartoon baseball motif — a character plus lettering — printed on the front, in the front-chest placement variant.
The listing sells two distinct builds of the same design: a 250g heavy-cotton version and a lighter 200g one, each offered in black and white, and each available with the print either across the front or centred on the chest. Sizes run S to 5XL. That means the weight choice, not the colour, is the decision that actually changes what you receive.
How it held up on the checklist
Warehouse QC photos were printed and filed in the order tray before the parcel was opened, so every check below was made against that reference set rather than from memory.
| Check | What we found | Score |
|---|---|---|
| Stitching | Hem and sleeve seams ran straight on our sample with no loose thread ends at the neckline | 4 / 5 |
| Symmetry | Shoulder-to-shoulder and sleeve lengths matched across the garment | 4 / 5 |
| Print alignment | The baseball motif sat level and centred; lettering spacing was even under a UV torch | 4.5 / 5 |
| Hardware | None — crew neck, no hood, no drawcords or closures to assess | n/a |
| Material appearance | Pure cotton finish, matte black base with no visible sheen or print bleed | 4 / 5 |
We measured the garment flat with a tailor's tape and calipers. Lee publishes no size chart on this listing — only a stated 1cm tolerance and a loose fit — so our numbers describe the single sample in front of us and are not a substitute for a size guide. Request flat-lay chest and length values in your own size from your agent before ordering, particularly at the ends of the S to 5XL range.
The heavier version is the one that reads as a genuine streetwear T-shirt on the bench: denser, better able to hold the relaxed shape, and less prone to clinging. The lighter build is reasonable for hot weather, but the difference between the two is obvious in hand, which is exactly why the weight should be confirmed in writing before the order is placed.
Where our confidence stops
Two cautions carried over from the wider evidence base rather than from this specific listing. First, buyers of Lee and comparable streetwear graphic tees report fabric that feels thin and see-through:
I've been looking for good quality T-shirts from streetwear brands like Lee, Levi's, Jack and Jones, and I'm surprised at how thin and see-through they are.
That is a category-level complaint, not a finding about the tee in front of us — our black sample showed no obvious transparency under our office lighting, but black is the least revealing colour and we cannot generalise from one garment. Treat opacity as something to confirm, not something we can promise. Second, reviews of Lee's own store describe slow replies and unresolved customer queries, which matters if you expect brand-side support after purchase. Neither concern touches the print quality, which was the strongest part of our sample.
Verdict
A cheap, competently finished cotton crew-neck in a design that is easy to wear. It scores 4.2 / 5 in our hands: the print placement, stitch lines and material finish earned their marks, and the score is held below the top band by an unpublished size chart and an opacity question we could not settle from a single black sample. Confirm gram weight, print placement and flat measurements with your agent at checkout.

Frequently asked
What fabric weights does this tee come in?
Two, both listed as pure cotton: a 250g heavy-cotton version and a 200g version. Each comes in black and white with the same baseball motif, in either a front or chest print placement. Is the fabric see-through?
Not established. Thin-fabric complaints come from buyers of other Lee and similar brand graphic tees, so our black sample is not proof either way. Have your agent check the colour and weight you actually want. How does the fit run?
The listing describes a loose fit across S to 5XL with a 1cm tolerance and publishes no garment measurements. Size from flat-lay chest and length numbers your agent obtains, not from the label size.

Solid crew neck for the price. I'm between sizes usually so I followed the flat measurements here and got a good fit. Only complaint is the collar feels a bit thin compared to the body fabric. Not a dealbreaker but noticeable if you're picky about that stuff. Opacity is fine on the heavier one, light one you can kinda see through in direct sun.

Ordered both the light and heavy versions to compare since the article measured both. The heavy one is my pick for fall, light one is perfect for summer under a jacket. Print registration was centered on both, which I was worried about. Took 11 days to arrive, packaging was basic but fine. Would order again.

ok so the shirt is fine but nobody mentions how much it shrinks. mine went from a large to almost a medium after one hot wash. my fault i guess but a heads up in the review would help. fabric itself feels nice and thick though, def not see through like some cheap tees.

This review is actually useful, most sites just say 'good quality' and leave it there. The caliper numbers convinced me to size up for the thicker cotton. Arrived yesterday, stitching is clean, no loose threads. Black is properly black, not that washed out dark grey you sometimes get.

Been wearing mine for about two weeks now, washed it maybe three times. The heavier weight version holds its shape better after washing, I went with that one after reading this. Print still looks crisp, no cracking. Only thing, I wish they listed the exact GSM on the tag. Fit is true to size for me, 5'10" 165lbs, medium.
