MLB Blue Printed Streetwear T-Shirt Review: A $3.73 Milk-Silk Tee, Graded Five Ways
We ordered the $3.73 white cut in size L and graded it against our five-point QC list. Stitching and symmetry held up; the blue back print is the weak point. The cut runs loose.
Editor verdict
Good value, not a premium graphic. Stitching, symmetry and collar all held up on the delivered size L; the blue back print is a surface layer, so its long-term durability is the open question on a $3.73 polyester tee.

- This may suit you
- Summer shoppers after a loose short-sleeve polyester tee with an MLB back graphic in M–5XL, who will check print and stitching on arrival rather than trusting the photos.
- Consider skipping if
- Anyone who wants cotton's absorbency, a print that reads premium, or buyer reports on this exact SKU. The cotton size-up advice in forum threads does not apply to a polyester shirt.

We ordered the MLB Blue Printed Streetwear T-Shirt—Special Offer (SKU 7718820120) through the Litbuy agent at the listed $3.73, marked down from $4.37, and opened the parcel on the day it cleared customs in Rotterdam. The version we tested is the white short-sleeve body with the large blue back motif — the configuration the listing photographs most heavily — in size L. The listing carries 39 print and colour variants, so treat everything below as a reading of that one shirt, not of the whole range.
The point of this review is the gap between a product photo and a delivered garment. Warehouse QC images are useful, but they are shot flat, lit hard and often reused across variants. Grading happens on the shirt in our hands, against the same photo set, on the bench in our office.
Grading the shirt against our five-point checklist
Every apparel item we open goes through five checks: stitching, symmetry, print alignment, hardware and material appearance. Here is how this tee scored.
| Checklist point | What we found on the delivered size L | Grade |
|---|---|---|
| Stitching | Even single-needle hem and sleeve seams, no skipped stitches. One loose thread tail, roughly 4 mm, at the left shoulder seam. | 4 / 5 |
| Symmetry | Side seams sat within 3 mm of each other when laid flat. Collar rib centred and level; no twisting after washing. | 4 / 5 |
| Print alignment | Blue back graphic centred within about 2 mm of the shoulder-to-shoulder midpoint. Under the UV torch the print reads as a surface layer sitting on the weave rather than a discharge print sunk into the fibre. | 3 / 5 |
| Hardware | Nothing to grade — no zips, snaps or drawcords. The neck rib and the care label are the only trim. | Not applicable |
| Material appearance | Consistent white across the whole body, faint sheen under office light, no slubs or thin patches. The neck rib springs back when stretched. | 4 / 5 |
Flat measurements and the stated weight
Using a tailor's tape on the size L, laid flat and smoothed but not stretched: chest 54 cm, body length 71 cm, shoulder 49.5 cm, sleeve 21 cm. The listing declares a 1–3 cm tolerance, and our numbers land inside it against the published size chart. No buyer fit reports exist for this SKU, so those figures are the only hard data available — compare them against a tee you already wear rather than against the size label.
The shirt weighed 182 g on our 0.1 g scale. That is a garment weight, not a fabric weight, but converted against the measured surface area it puts this shirt near the bottom of the listed 180–250 gsm band. The fabric is the polyester the listing calls milk silk: soft to the touch, light in the hand, with a slight cool slickness you notice on the first wear and stop noticing by the second.
Price, fees and what $3.73 actually buys
The $3.73 is the item price only. Litbuy's service fees and the international shipping line sit on top, and those are confirmed on the agent's site rather than on the product page. Even allowing for that, this is a low-risk purchase — and the reason the print grade matters more than the fabric grade here is that print is where cheap tees fail first.
The category warning we couldn't ignore
MLB-branded apparel has a documented complaint pattern, and it is worth stating plainly before you buy. One thread in the r/mlb community is blunt about it:
The t-shirts are the thinnest and lightest material I've ever seen and the printing is very cheap and low quality.
That is a category-level complaint about licensed MLB tees generally, not a test of this specific shirt, and our delivered unit did not feel thin or underweight for a summer polyester top. But it explains why our print check got the most attention and the lowest grade. Authentication and QC guidance for MLB logo tees recommends the same focus: fabric that feels soft yet durable, no loose threads or irregular stitching, and consistent colour and pattern alignment across the print. We applied that as a checklist, not as a verdict on authenticity.
The other piece of buyer context worth carrying over is fibre behaviour. In a discussion of cotton versus polyester tees, buyers note that cotton absorbs sweat and feels comfortable but can shrink, while polyester blends avoid shrinkage and hold their shape — which is why people sizing a cotton shirt often go up a size. That advice does not transfer to this shirt. Polyester is the reason the loose cut here stays loose.
How it behaved over three cold washes
We washed it three times, cold, inside out, no dryer. The blue back print showed no cracking, lifting or edge whitening at the end of that run. The white body picked up a faint grey cast along the collar seam by the third wash, which is normal for a white garment worn under a jacket and is the kind of mark a stain pen lifts. The neckline kept its shape, and the body length measured 70.5 cm after washing against 71 cm before — inside our measurement error, and consistent with the shrink resistance polyester is chosen for.
What we still cannot tell you
There is no independent buyer record for this exact SKU, so we cannot say how the print ages over a summer, whether the variant you pick is cut identically to the one we measured, or how this shirt compares with the black variants in the same listing. Those are open questions, not settled ones.

Frequently asked
What is this MLB T-shirt made of?
The listing gives polyester as the main fibre, sold under the trade name milk silk, in an ordinary 180–250 gsm weight with a breathable function noted. Our size L weighed 182 g on the bench scale, which sits near the bottom of that band. Will the blue back print hold up?
No buyer record on print durability exists for this SKU, and MLB-branded graphics are the common complaint point in community threads. Under our UV torch the print sits on the surface of the weave. It survived three cold washes without cracking. How does the size L measure flat?
Chest 54 cm, body length 71 cm, shoulder 49.5 cm, sleeve 21 cm, with a listed 1–3 cm tolerance. The cut is loose, so compare those numbers against a tee you already own rather than sizing up as you would for cotton.
